SPAIN IS ON LOCKDOWN!
Many of our rescued hunting dogs are ready to come home but the COVID19 virus has Spain and the U.S. on lockdown. We were scheduled to bring at least 12 dogs home in April but now all of the rescues must wait until the quarantine is lifted. We have 20 pups and more are coming in as people abandon their dogs with the financial strain they are experiencing.
The travel delay will increase our costs by nearly $2,000 each month until we can travel.
The picture here is a mother and 3 puppies we rescued March 15 2020 near Seville (more photos on the adoptable dogs page). Would you consider sponsoring them or one of our other pups?
All our dogs are safe and healthy. Interested in adopting? See the Adoptable Dogs page for information on our dogs in Spain (and the U.S.).
Please help us care for these babies until we can safely bring them home.

Cast Aside After Serving Their Masters
Please help these abandoned hunting dogs get a loving home now! This is our partner shelter in El Ronquillo, Spain. We pull hunting dogs from kill shelters and others we find wandering the streets, abandoned. Without SDRI, these loving dogs would be destroyed. Help us give them the loving homes they all deserve.
REMEMBER US AS YOU CONSIDER YOUR PLANNED GIVING
SPORTING DOG RESCUE INTERNATIONAL AT A GLANCE
SDRI rescues abused, abandoned and surrendered hunting dogs and provides them with veterinary care, spay/neutering, foster care, transport and adoption into permanent loving homes. SDRI was incorporated in April 2019 and is a non-profit charitable organization with 501c3 status- that means your life-saving donation is tax deductible!
Saving One Life at a Time
Why do we do what we do? While we still have work to do in the U.S. for animal welfare, many other countries are far behind. In some countries, we are one of only a few organizations working to save these precious lives.
All dogs we rescue receive extensive veterinary care including vaccinations, de-worming/heartworm treatment (if needed), spay/neutering, and qualify for all necessary health certificates and federal authorizations (Department of Agriculture and Customs) needed to bring them to the U.S.
