NEW HOMES IN THE UK!

While our SDRI dogs are safe and well cared for while in boarding during the COVID lockdown, there is still too much uncertainty as to when we will be able to travel to Spain and bring them to the United States. Unfortunately, all indications are that we will not be permitted to return to Spain for at least another 6-9 months- even if our U.S. COVID-19 infection rate begins dropping immediately.  This means that our dogs would be there over one year in boarding.

We want our rescues to be adopted much sooner than that so they can start really enjoying life.  Our board of directors and each of our U.S. adopters who were expecting a dog have all agreed that the best thing we can do for them is to get them into loving homes as soon as possible!

To that end, we are very pleased to announce our partnership with the UK-based rescues Save Our Spaniels and Spaniel Aid.

Our Adoptable Dogs will now be in forever homes very soon!  Our partners will be transporting to and re-homing all 20 Spain-based SDRI dogs in the UK in September 2020.  Our Spanish Brittanys will now be “Brit Britts!”

We could use your help with funds needed to prepare their inter-EU paperwork and the ground transport to the UK.  All contributions we collect in August and September will be used to support these dogs and the work of our partners to place them into their new homes.

We are very excited that our EU-based partnerships may now allow us to help even more abandoned, abused and surrendered hunting dogs.  As soon as we are able, we will resume our work to rescue more sporting dogs in Spain/EU and bring them to the U.S. for a new life.

Please keep us in mind and we hope we can place one of our rescue dogs with you in the near future!

Cast Aside After Serving Their Masters

Please help these abandoned hunting dogs get a loving home now! This is our partner shelter in El Ronquillo, Spain. We pull hunting dogs from kill shelters and others we find wandering the streets, abandoned. Without SDRI, these loving dogs would be destroyed. Help us give them the loving homes they all deserve.

ACTIVITIES

Saving One Life at a Time

Why do we do what we do? While we still have work to do in the U.S. for animal welfare, many other countries are far behind. In some countries, we are one of only a few organizations working to save these precious lives.

FOSTERING

We ensure the safety and good care for every dog we rescue both in country and within the U.S.

VETERINARY SERVICES

All dogs we rescue receive extensive veterinary care including vaccinations, de-worming/heartworm treatment (if needed), spay/neutering, and qualify for all necessary health certificates and federal authorizations (Department of Agriculture and Customs) needed to bring them to the U.S.
